In October 2025, Kviknes Hotel will host the semi-finals and finals of the prestigious Tino Andersen International Guitar Festival (TAIGF).

The festival is a unique opportunity to experience the world's most talented guitarists competing for the largest prize pool in the history of the guitar.

A tribute to the classical guitar

The festival is a celebration of the classical guitar and Tino Andersen's long-standing work with talent development. The event attracts guitarists from all over the world, made possible with important support from Tertnes Holding. The 40 finalists have qualified through several demanding rounds to reach the top of this international competition.

Exclusive concert experience

In addition to being the venue for two of the competition's most exciting rounds, Kviknes Hotel will also be the venue where the audience can enjoy an exclusive concert by the critically acclaimed English guitar ensemble Mela Guitar Quartet. This promises to be an unforgettable musical experience in the magnificent surroundings of fjords and mountains.

Global audience

The two main competition rounds will be professionally streamed to a global audience, and organizers expect over 100,000 viewers from around the world.
