Kviknes Hotel is a finalist in the USA - for the second year in a row
We are proud to share that Kviknes Hotel has been nominated for the internationally recognized Historic Hotels Worldwide Awards of Excellence 2025 .
Last year we were awarded the award for Best Historic Resort Worldwide , and this year we are a finalist in the category Best Social Media of a Historic Hotel.
– The news that we were nominated again this year came as a pleasant surprise. It is especially nice that it is happening in the USA, which is a large and important market for us. Above all, this is a recognition of the good teamwork and the effort our employees put in every single day, says hotel director Sigurd Kvikne.
This is a recognition that highlights how historic hotels use digital channels to share stories, create community and inspire new travelers.

A worldwide award
Historic Hotels Worldwide annually honors the world's top historic hotels, and over 200 nominations from 49 countries were considered before the finalists were selected. The awards ceremony will take place in Seattle on October 30, with owners, directors and representatives from many of the world's most iconic hotels in attendance.
Hospitality in focus
– For us at Kviknes it is a great honor to be recognized in these categories. The nominations are a tribute to our skilled staff, the long family history and our guests who bring the hotel to life every day.
