Sustainability at Kviknes Hotel

For us, sustainability means managing resources as locally as possible, both in terms of our human resources and values, economy and our external environmental aspects. We are a destination that involves some travel to and from the hotel.

Our focus is therefore to ensure that these trips and stays with us make this justifiable.

If we also demand the same commitment from our partners and suppliers, we help to minimize our footprint.

Our environmental policy

By providing employees with good, safe and personally developing tasks, Kviknes Hotel shall create a working environment that stimulates creativity, constructiveness and critical thinking. The working environment shall promote work ability, learning, health and well-being, and protect against work-related illness and occupational accidents.

Environmental awareness shall characterize all parts of our business and we shall continuously work to reduce the impact on the external environment through environmentally friendly operations.

Kviknes Hotel's environmental policy:

• Waste management and pollution prevention shall primarily be solved through recycling and diversion.

Eco-Lighthouse is a recognized and effective tool for certification and environmental management that helps companies to succeed in the green transition. By being an Eco-Lighthouse, we actively contribute to a sustainable future and the necessary green transition. We report annually on our environmental performance in the areas of working environment, waste management, energy use, purchasing and transportation. We highlight our development, set targets for improvement and take action! As part of Kviknes Hotel's sustainability work, the UN's sustainability goals guide our work.
