The hotel will open its doors for the season on April 1, 2026.

Since 1877, we have welcomed summer guests from all corners of the world. We look forward to welcoming guests from near and far again.

Welcome to Balestrand and Kviknes Hotel!

At Kviknes Hotel we have a tradition of good food experiences . As far as possible we use local ingredients, the Sognefjord is an excellent food pantry. We also have an extensive wine cellar where we find the wine that suits the evening's menu.

We hope you can find peace for a few days with us and enjoy experiencing our unique collection of art . Outdoors, Balestrand also has a lot to offer. Hiking in the Balestrand mountains in particular has become very popular. There are great trails for everyone and we are happy to give you good tips!
