National romantic evening with music, art and historical flavors

On Saturday, June 21st, we invite you to a very special experience at Kviknes Hotel in the spirit of national romanticism.

This evening you will have the opportunity to delve into the life and art of one of the most iconic painters from Balestrand, Hans Dahl, through a coffee break and a concert with the versatile pianist Frode Skag Storheim.

Frode takes us on a lively and musical story about Hans Dahl's life and work – from the national romantic motifs in the fjord landscape to the strong bands of Balestrand, which inspired both artists and emperors.

After the concert, the festive evening continues in the dining room, where our kitchen has recreated a historical menu from Emperor Wilhelm II's Hohenzollern era. Dishes inspired by menus from the Emperor's own visits to Balestrand are served - accompanied by selected German wines.
